Path does not starts with a “/” character + struts

Most of the times this error comes because of something missing in the tiles-def.xml file

Lets assume the tiles definition like this
<definition name=”.a.tiles.path” extends=”.b.tiles.path”>
– – – – – – – –

– – – – – – – –
</definition>

The error can be due to

1)  The parent from which or the root of the extending tile must starts with a “/” character.
OR
2)  This tile definition is present more the one time in tiles-def.xml.
OR
3) The path referencing from tiles-def.xml in struts-config.xml may not be defined.

    Even if we keep these points this problem will occur because of spelling mistakes in the path specified in struts-config.xml
